The Gulf of Tigullio

Portofino

The Gulf of Tigullio is located on the Ligurian Riviera di Levante, located between the Golfo Paradiso and the La Spezia Riviera. Completely within the province of Genoa, at the time of the Republic of Genoa it was the seat of two captaincies: Rapallo and Chiavari, still today the most populous municipalities.
The municipalities that form it go from Punta di Portofino to Punta Manara and are therefore Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Rapallo, Zoagli, Chiavari, Lavagna and Sestri Levante.

Overall, the Tigullio is one of the best-known areas in Italy for tourism, and a destination for international tourism since the last century.

Each seaside town contains unique monuments, beaches, trekking routes and gastronomy:
  • Portofino, luxury destination par excellence, with the legendary Piazzetta.
  • Santa Margherita Ligure with its beautiful villas, beaches and the picturesque bay of Paraggi.
  • Rapallo with the medieval historic center, the castle, the seafront and the golf course.
  • Zoagli with the walk created in the cliff.
  • Chiavari and the alleys and arcades of the historic center.
  • Lavagna and Cavi and the wide beaches.
  • Sestri Levante, enchanting village with the Bay of Silence and the Bay of Fairy Tales.
