Camogli

The Paradise Gulf is part of the Eastern Ligurian Riviera and extends from Genoa to the Portofino promontory, including the municipalities of Bogliasco, Pieve Ligure, Sori, Recco, Camogli, as well as two hillside municipalities, Avegno and Uscio.

The Via Aurelia runs along the entire Gulf starting from the Nervi district, in the municipality of Genoa, touching the rest of the towns up to Camogli. Every coastal village you come across has its own personality and precise characteristics:
  • Nervi: autonomous municipality until 1929, with the 19th century seaside promenade that leads to the village of Capolungo, the historic villas, the park.
  • Bogliasco: sailors' village with the Roman bridge over the Rio Poggio, the church of the Nativity of Mary, the cliffs of Pontetto.
  • Pieve Ligure: made up of scattered nuclei that go up to Pieve Alta, the mimosa festival, the creuze.
  • Sori: with the long beach and the oratory of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
  • Recco: the very famous focaccia from Recco, gastronomic excellence.
  • Camogli: the pearl of the gulf, with the colorful houses huddled together, the abbey of San Fruttuoso, the Dragonara castle, the small port.
