HOW TO GET TO VERNAZZA

Getting to Vernazza by car
Vernazza is perhaps the most complicated village to reach by car, both for road conditions and for the length of the last stretch, very tortuous. As usual, parking in the Cinque Terre is not easy at all. In Vernazza there are two car parks about one km from the village: Vernazza parking.
The main access road is the motorway, from the Carrodano-Levanto tollbooth, on the A12, about 30 km from Vernazza, which can be covered in an hour. From the motorway exit you cross the SP566dir, turning left towards Levanto. At first the road climbs for a few kilometers, then descends passing some villages, such as Montale and Casella, until it reaches the entrance to the town, at the large roundabout in front of the sanctuary.
Now you need to follow the signs for Monterosso, going up along several curves. Before descending towards Monterosso, turn left uphill, following the sign for Vernazza. Pass the sanctuary of Soviore, continue along the SP38 until you take the SP51 where the Vernazza sign appears at 6,5 km. The road passes through Drignana, Case Fornacchi, San Bernardino and finally Vernazza.
