The route Vernazza-Foce Drignana is a historic mule track that connects the village with the smaller towns of the municipality, the sanctuary of Our Lady of Reggio and even further up towards the Val di Vara.

The path begins near the train station, taking the staircase immediately after the underpass on the left:

Once you arrive at the deconsecrated church of San Francesco, you go up the asphalt road to the cemetery. Here we continue along the paved pavement, the historic route of the Via Crucis of Vernazza:

Continuing uphill you arrive at the small oratory of San Bernardo and further more gently up to the sanctuary of Our Lady of Reggio:

With the sanctuary in front of us we turn right until we reach the asphalt road:

Once you have crossed the road, continue uphill towards Drignana:

After a short stretch in the woods, take the carriage road back to the SP51. We follow it briefly up to the small roundabout, then uphill to the left up to Foce Drignana, where we find the High Route of the Cinque Terre.
