From Colle del Telegrafo the second section of the Alta Via delle Cinque Terre, rises towards the Verrugoli and Bramapane mountains near the remains of a military fort:
The route initially climbs through the woods, opens onto the sea and dives back into the woods along a small path which after the Bramapane becomes a wide flat dirt road.
Once you reach the crossroads with the path 501 which leads to Riomaggiore, the route narrows as it climbs towards Mount Galera.
The route continues flat from Costa Galera up to the intersection with the path 502 to Groppo and Manarola:
Continuing into the woods, the still flat path then begins a steep descent until it meets the path 506 to Manarola on path 587 for Corniglia:
Finally, we are now close to the Cigoletta clearing:
