PATH 592 MANAROLA-CORNIGLIA

Currently closed (2024) due to landslides, path 592 is one of the most evocative of the Cinque Terre.
The route starts from the Marina of Manarola, going up towards the cemetery, from where you can take one of the most typical photos of the village. The comfortable paved road goes around Punta Bonfiglio until reaching a crossroads near a small votive chapel.

Turn left along the sea, continuing almost always on level ground up to the Corniglia train station, above the Spiaggione, created during the construction works of the old railway.
To climb into the village a final effort is necessary, taking the 377 steps of the Lardarina staircase.

The alternative route from Manarola to Corniglia includes the panoramic climb of path 506 up to Volastra, then the path 586 from Volastra to the junction with path 587 near Case Pianca and finally the path 587 from Case Pianca to Corniglia.
