FOSSOLA

The village of Fossola is located within the Cinque Terre National Park in the municipality of La Spezia, in the area called Tramonti.

It is placed immediately after the Biassa tunnel on the left, easily reachable on foot along an asphalted road for residents only of about 350 meters or along the trekking route 534, Sant'Antonio-Fossola, which then continues towards the sea.

The few houses overlooking the sea develops around the little church of the Angeli Custodi, an evocative white-plastered building with a simple facade on which the sandstone portal flanked by two side windows opens.

Fossola is the easiest village of Tramonti to reach. The others are Monesteroli, Schiara, Persico and Navone.
