HOW TO ARRIVE TO CORNIGLIA
Getting to Corniglia by car
Corniglia is located in the center of the Cinque Terre, between Manarola and Vernazza. Unlike Riomaggiore and Manarola, the last stretch of road towards Corniglia narrows and the car is not the best means of transport to get there. It also has only one small car park: Corniglia car park.
Arriving from central, easter and southern Italy, the motorway exit is that of La Spezia-Santo Stefano Magra, on the A12-A15. Keep left and take the SS370 up to La Spezia, about 10 km away. Then follow Via Carducci, then turn left onto Viale Italia which turns sharply right in front of the arsenal, becoming Viale Amendola. At the traffic light, turn left, paying attention to the signs indicating the Cinque Terre. Now on Via Fieschi, you pass the La Spezia footbal stadium and at the traffic lights continue uphill along the Via delle Cinque Terre, which in 25 km leads to Corniglia.
From western and northern Italy, exit in Carrodano-Levanto, on the A12, about 35 km from Corniglia, which can be covered in an hour. Leaving the toll booth, at the intersection with the SP566dir, turn left towards Levanto and the Cinque Terre. You proceed initially uphill, then downhill passing through Montale and Casella, up to the large roundabout that precedes Levanto, in front of the sanctuary. Here you do not enter the town, but follow the signs for Monterosso and begin to climb tortuously again along a fairly narrow road, passing through Legnaro and Chiesa Nuova. Before starting the descent to Monterosso, turn left uphill, following the sign for Vernazza, pass by the Soviore sanctuary and take the SP38 until you reach the SP51 where the Corniglia sign appears at 12.5 km. The road passes through Drignana, Case Fornacchi, San Bernardino and finally Corniglia.
Good luck with the parking now.
