howtoget
Of course, the first thing to do is to get here. By car there are no problems as far as pets are concerned. You will need to find a parking in the Cinque Terre . By train it is better to inquire directly on the website Trenitalia. In general, small dogs, cats and other pets, if kept in a kennel that does not exceed the dimensions of 70x30x50, can travel free of charge in first and second class, on all train categories. Only one kennel allowed. Larger dogs can travel as long as they are on a leash and with muzzle, by purchasing a ticket at half the expected price, however refer to the link above.
By boat, usually, access is allowed for small pets and medium size, always with leash and muzzle, suitably in bags or carriers.
Visiting
Once in the Cinque Terre, it is possible to visit the five villages. The same for the trekking trails. However, it is not very recommended, dogs must always be led on a leash, they cannot circulate freely, they could encounter wildlife and cause situations of great stress for the animals. Some paths are very narrow and steep. Choose the autumn or spring period and bring lots of water. Avoid the summer period, it would be a pain for the animals.
Beaches
Cinque Terre beaches are small, pets are not allowed!
