INHABITANTS IN THE CINQUE TERRE
The Cinque Terre are administratively divided into three municipalities: Riomaggiore, Vernazza and Monterosso.
Riomaggiore includes the village of Manarola, Vernazza that of Corniglia.
How many inhabitants are there in the Cinque Terre? In total about 3500.
Riomaggiore: 1426 inhabitants (Istat data as of 31/08/2020), of which about 350 in Manarola.
Vernazza: 764 inhabitants (Istat data as of 31/12/2020), of which about 200 in Corniglia.
Monterosso: 1400 inhabitants (Istat data as of 31/08/2020).
In addition to the five seaside villages, there are numerous smaller villages or hamlets scattered over the hills, the most populous Volastra and Groppo.
