Cappun Magru

Typical recipe of Liguria in general, also in the Cinque Terre the "cappun magru" is prepared, an ancient traditional dish based on fish and vegetables.

Originally it was considered a poor dish, consumed by fishermen on boats or by the servants of noble families who used the leftovers from banquets.

Today it is prepared for special occasions with fish, biscuits, vegetables, sauces, shrimp, eggs and other delicacies.

The processing is in fact long and laborious.
