THE ORATORY OF THE DISCIPLINATI OF MANAROLA
The Disciplinanti were a congregation dedicated to the defense of the weakest since the fourteenth century. The oratory is located in Manarola, in the upper part of the town, in the square where the parish church of San Lorenzo is also located. Of fifteenth-century origin, it is also known as the oratory of the Santissima Annunziata or degli Azzurri.
It is a gabled roofed building, with a very simple façade and completely plastered in a yellowish color. It has a small access stairway, a simple stone portal surmounted by a lunette and a framed tympanum in which a rounded window opens.
On the north side there are three windows that allow you to illuminate the interior, while on the south side there is a small caruggio.
