The Giant

The Giant is located at the end of the beach of Fegina, after the parking. It is a 1910 sculpture in armed cement and iron, work of Arrigo Minerbi of Ferrara and the engineer Levacher, built by Giovanni and Juanita Pastine, two “monterossini” returned from Argentina after having done fortune. 14 meters and 1700 quintals, the statue representing Neptune decorated the splendid Villa Pastine with a great terrace with shell shape, bombed with the villa during the Second World War. In 1966 a strong sea weakened the giant that came partly restored. Today it has no arms, trident and a leg.
